Wi-Fi QR Code Generator
Reading a twenty-character password off a fridge magnet is nobody's idea of hospitality. A Wi-Fi code holds the network name, the security type and the password in a format both iOS and Android understand natively.

How to make one
- Type your network name exactly as it appears, including capitals.
- Choose the security type. WPA/WPA2 covers almost every modern router.
- Enter the password. It is encoded into the image and never sent to our servers on a static code.
- Print it and put it somewhere guests will look.

Frequently asked
Does a Wi-Fi QR code work on iPhone?
Yes. The camera app on iOS 11 and later recognises the format and offers to join the network. Android has supported it since version 10, and most manufacturer camera apps handle it too.
Is it safe to print my Wi-Fi password as a QR code?
Anyone who can see the code can read the password with a scanner app, so treat it exactly like a written password. For a business, put guests on a separate network from your till and office machines.
Why will my network not connect?
The most common cause is a network name that differs by one character, usually a capital letter. Hidden networks also need the hidden box ticked or the phone will not find them.
